The Quilt Museum and Gallery is one of the first Visitor Attractions in England to receive a VisitEngland Hidden Gem Accolade in recognition of the quality visitor experience on offer. The accolades, introduced by VisitEngland for the first time this year, are part of the Visitor Attractions QualityScheme that aims to recognise those attractions going the extra mile to create an enjoyable and memorable visitor experience. “We are thrilled to receive recognition for all the hard work contributed by staff and volunteers”, said Museum Manager, Fiona Diaper
James Berresford, Chief Executive of VisitEngland said: “These attractions are all succeeding in ensuring visitors enjoy their experience, whether by providing a warm welcome, capturing the imagination with creative storytelling, providing a high-quality food and drink offer or ensuring an all-round quality experience for visitors. These new accolades reflect the wide variety of attractions on offer in England and provide the perfect reason to take a day trip or short break this half term.”
The Quilters' Guild Collection is held by The Quilters’ Guild of the British Isles.
