Going home depicts the sea journey which Sheena has to make everytime she goes back home to the Orkney Islands. The colours reflect the islands' sky, sea and shore, and the piece is made from cotton fabrics which have been hand appliqued, machine pieced and free machine quilted with rayon threads. Commissioned and presented by Region 16 (Scotland).
