Janice was inspired for the design and colours of this quilt by the flowers in her garden and a visit to a local fuchsia show. She used hand space-dyed cottons and silk noil with some commercial cottons and silk, supported by a Vilene foundation fabric. It is hand and machine pieced also machine quilted in the ditch with invisible thread, and the colours and design remain balanced when hung from any of the three edges. Commissioned and presented by Region 1 (London).
A quilt from The Nineties Collection - quilts commissioned from quiltmakers working during the 1990s.
