'Winter on Dartmoor' was inspired from images that Jenny had sketched and photographed of a tree in John of Gaunt's Deer Park. She applied the shape to the centre of this traditional medallion style quilt, which is machine pieced with hand applique and quilting. The four birds in the corners of the quilt represent the redwings that arrive in the area every autumn.Commissioned and presented by the South Devon Area of Region 4.
A quilt from The Nineties Collection - quilts commissioned from quiltmakers working during the 1990s.
