Do you have an interest in quilting or historic buildings? Perhaps you are considering a career in museums, tourism or education? Do you have a few hours to spare on a regular basis? Or would you just like to meet people and make some new friends?
If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, volunteering at the Quilt Museum and Gallery could be for you.
There are lots of ways to get involved, and we'll be actively
recruiting volunteers to assist in the setting up and running of the
museum from March 2008. Opportunities include:
- Museum steward
- Librarian
- Curatorial assistant (exhibitions, collections care, research, technicians)
- Educator
- Shop staff
- Quilting demonstrators
- Administration support staff
All volunteers will be provided with training relevant to their
