The Quilt Museum and Gallery has an exciting programme of events taking place this autumn/winter. There is something for everyone, including lunchtime talks and lectures on collections, textiles workshops for adults and children and gallery demonstrations. Booking is often essential for events that take place in the education room, so please contact us to book your place and avoid disappointment. Friday 10th October - Curator's Tour
Come and meet the Curator of our new visiting exhibition 'Quilts In Common', Marin Hanson. Marin will guide you around the exhibition which has travelled all the way from the International Quilt Study Centre in Nebraska.

Wednesday 29th October and Thursday 30th October - Family Craft Workshops
'Going Crazy' & 'All the Way to Hawaii'
'Going Crazy': Learn how the Victorians decorated tiny scraps of silk and satin with beads and embroidery and then make your own Victorian needlecase to take home!
'All the way to Hawaii': Decorate a jazzy journal cover with your own special snowflake design - just like the Hawaiians! Learn all about paper cutting and applique quilts.

Horrible Halloween!
Come along to a free taster drop-in craft session for families. Make a horrible halloween ghost or witch puppet to take home and scare your friends!

The Horse's Quilt - 'A Flame in your Heart' production
Come on a journey into Victorian Britain and visit cotton mills, kitchens and a royal palace on the way! Meet Punch & Judy, Florence Nightingale and even Queen Victoria on your trip and learn how a quilt can tell you an amazing story!
