Learn how to set up a sewing machine for free motion stitching, then explore methods of design transfer, applique, wrapped cords and styles of free motion embroidery to make two brooches which have been inspired by the current ‘Setting the Scene’ exhibition. Suitable for complete newcomers to free motion stitching & those with more experience wishing to brush up on their skills. Previous experience of using a sewing machine in the ‘traditional’ manner is essential to get the most from this workshop. Please telephone 01904 613 242 or email admin@quiltersguild.org.uk. Pre-payment required on booking to secure your place. A requirements list will be sent out on booking. Please bring your own packed lunch. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided.
