Signature quilt containing 138 signatures embroidered in different coloured threads on a cream cotton background. The signed squares have been arranged into four squares on point surrounding a central patchwork of the BQSG logo in blue and cream. Further sawtooth edged squares have been incorporated into the patchwork design. The hand quilted motifs include feathers, flowers, wheels, square diamond, wineglass, and a border of Northumberland Chain with roses in the centre.

The British Quilt Study Group, a specialist group of The Quilters’ Guild of the British Isles, created this piece as part of their exhibition ‘It’s all in the Making’, which was part of the Quilt Museum and Gallery’s exhibition programme in 2013. The Quilt was made as a fundraiser for the Quilt Museum and Gallery. 220 squares were sold at £5 each, and 140 were returned and are included in the quilt. Sponsorship was received for the calico, backing and wadding and Lilian Hedley designed the quilting pattern. The quilt raised £1,380 for the Quilt Museum and Gallery. The completed squares were sent to organiser Anne Jeater, who designed the layout and put the quilt together.
